About
One of the passions I have in my life is helping people. Being a part of Ability Mortgage gives me that opportunity every day!
I was born and raised in Ripon. After high school, I ended up in Fresno, becoming a student at Fresno State – GOOOOO DOGS!!!! My major at Fresno State was in Commercial Recreation – a hope and dream to work in professional sports. That dream almost became a reality with a minor league baseball team, but a chance meeting brought me back to Ripon to run the Food and Beverage Department at Oakwood Lake Resort or The Manteca Waterslides. This lead to an incredible 12 years in the Food and Beverage Industry. I was able to meet and work with many people that shaped my future endeavors.
I knew that I wanted more out of my professional life – something that would be a part of me. I decided that I wanted to get involved with Real Estate – a chance to help local people in the community that I lived in. Another chance encounter changed that…….slightly – I was offered an opportunity to work with an amazing group of people at Old Republic Title in Stanislaus County. What a great introduction into the world of Real Estate. One of the things that I soon realized was that my talents and passion to help people would be better served as a Lender –
And that is what I did! I became a part of Ability Mortgage in 2006. In 2010, I became owner of the company – a part of a group that equals any in our industry. Ability Mortgage has served our local area for over 22 years – Patty – our professor – has been with us for all but 3 months of that time. I am so proud to be a part of Ability Mortgage and what it stands for.
We also decided to make another crucial move in 2010. For 20 years, Ability Mortgage had been a Mortgage Brokerage. In April of 2010 we became a direct lender, affiliating with American Pacific Mortgage Corporation. What a blessing that move became. In the midst of the toughest times in our industry's history, we have not only survived, but we have thrived! Many thanks to great clients and Realtors, but also a huge thanks to the group that we partnered with!
I am married to Heidi, a 7th grade educator (and my Apple, IMovie and production guru). We have 2 children, both in Ripon schools. I am involved with the Ripon Planning Commission, the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, CVAR, and a project dear to our hearts, the Ripon Community Fund. I have been and will continue to be involved with several boards and charity groups.
I hope that some of the information that I share will help you – to bring you some updated information regarding the mortgage industry. I will also be sharing information regarding local businesses and charity events. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help you!
Cheers-
Kevin
